I’m Ivan Kolenička and joined Ayming in December 2020. Before that, I spent many years as a sales manager in software companies focused on developing and implementing their own information systems. Today, I combine a commercial mindset with consulting in research and development funding.
My work routine
I spend more than half of my time in meetings with clients. Many of my days are filled with discussions with colleagues about how we can improve our business and deliver more value to our clients. Another big part of my role involves working behind the screen — handling administration, online communication, and reporting. I also dedicate time to learning and keeping up with trends shaping innovation and R&D funding.

Typical projects I work on
One project that stands out for me was with an engineering company manufacturing custom-made machines. They had no idea their activities could qualify as R&D and had never used the R&D tax deduction. The company was also skeptical about public support programs due to previous bad experiences with grants.
After I clearly explained the benefits of the R&D tax incentive, they decided to move forward. Together with our consultants, we identified their eligible projects and successfully applied the deduction — saving them tens of thousands of euros in taxes. Today, the company invests more in development and continues to grow faster than before.
My team
What I love most about our team is its diversity. Each of us has a different personality, has a unique sales style and approach to clients, which makes collaboration inspiring. We constantly motivate and learn from each other. Most importantly, we’re friends — people who laugh a lot, share similar values, and manage to stay positive even when things get hectic.
